Introduction

FOOD AND BEVERAGE MINIMUMS

Lunch (no pre-set menu)

Dinner (no pre-set menu)

number of guests x $20

Food and Beverage Minimums are based on the number of expected guests multiplied by the selected pre-set menu price, or $10 a person at lunch and $20 a person at dinner if no menu is pre-selected. Room minimums will reflect the guaranteed head count and will adhere to the head count policy described below


DEPOSITS AND CANCELLATIONS 

In order to reserve a private dining room, Ocean Zen does not require a deposit of less the 60, but does require a valid credit card on file. Parties of 60 or more require a 10% deposit on the room minimum. Your card will not be charged unless the event is cancelled within seven (7) days of your event, in which case one half of the room minimum will be charged to the card on file. Any cancellations made within 72 hours of the event will require the full payment of the room minimum. Full payment must be made on or before the event date


FINAL HEAD COUNT 

Guaranteed head counts must be made 48 hours prior to the reservation time, and all charges for a set menu will reflect that number. Additional guests may be added (but not subtracted) after the final count is given. If a final head count is not given, the original number of guests will be taken as the final head count and will be reflected on the final bill



MENU SELECTION 

Ocean Zen offers a variety of banquet menus as well as hors d’oeuvres, lunch and dinner buffets to choose from. The regular in-house lunch and dinner menus are available as well, however, any parties over thirty must pre-order food selections.


All plated lunch and dinner menus are available buffet style (either hors d’oeuvres, lunch or dinner).


The appetizer portion of your meal can be served cocktail style or buffet style (your guests get food from a table and are able to stand and mingle) or family style (the food is placed on your table on platters for your guests to sit and eat). Each menu will have entrée choices for your guests to choose from, and prior counts of each entrée selection are necessary for groups of thirty or more.


Due to inherent fluctuation in prices and availability of products, Ocean Zen reserves the right to alter the planned menu if the need arises, you will be contacted if this happens


SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS

Ocean Zen is able to accommodate most special needs for allergies and other dietary requirements with advance notice. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals are available upon request


DECORATIONS

While Ocean Zen encourages you to decorate for your event as you see fit, please do not attach anything to the walls or ceiling with tape or tacks.


OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGE 

Ocean Zen does not allow any food or beverage without prior approval of management. A service fee may be charged for any outside product allowed. No other outside alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages are permitted, and must be purchased from Ocean Zen. Cakes are allowed by prior arrangement only.


AUDIO VISUAL EQUIPMENT AND WI-FI

Ocean Zen provides a free wireless internet network for guest use, and has audio visual equipment available for a $100 surcharge. A microphone is also available upon request. Ocean Zen will facilitate the set up of presentation materials but does not supply adaptors or power cords, and is not responsible for incompatible equipment.


SERVICE CHARGES 

There is an 18% service fee added to all parties booked in private dining rooms, unless a flat service fee has been set by prior arrangement. Service fee is applied to either the pretax total or the room minimum (if the minimum is not previously met).


TAXES

All parties are subject to the current sales tax rate unless a valid tax exemption letter is received prior to the time of the event.


DAMAGES

In the event of damages occurring during the event, the customer will be held responsible for paying Ocean Zen for any and all repair expenses.
